I sit with my father
Watching the game.
He laughs and cheers loudly
While I sit, silent and solemn
I take a bite of my pop-tart,
Toasted far too much
The crusty purple pastry
falls
to
pieces
In my hands
Now I stay here,
Attempting to repair
The irreparable
